With time, weather, oil and paint spills and traffic,  your stamped concrete will begin to deteriorate, leaving them unprotected. If left unprotected, colours will eventually wear off and the beauty of the surface will diminish.  We use a process to ensure a thorough coverage and durable seal.  It is recommended that stamped concrete be resealed every three years.  Though damage to its colour can be improved, it cannot be repaired.  Routinely sealing stamped concrete will preserve its natural beauty indefinitely.

Our Stamped Concrete Sealing Process Includes:

The area is pressure cleaned and chlorinated, then all oil stains and rust are removed.

The stamped concrete is acid etched. This opens up the microscopic pores to allow the first coat of sealant (base coat) to bond to the surface, making it one. IF this process was skipped, the product would just lie atop the surface.

The area is allowed to completely dry. During this time, the area must not be utilized to ensure it will remain clean for the sealing process.

The area is sealed using 3 coats of a high-quality, commercial-grade acrylic-based sealer. WE DO NOT USE WATER BASE PRODUCTS that you will find at your home remedy stores.

“TOUGH Grip,” a slip-resistant additive, is applied to the third coat (only on Stamped Concrete).

Drying takes about 24 hours, weather permitting.

After 6 hours, the area may be walked on and used with care. Driveways can be driven across to access the garage, but parking or turning of the wheels while the car is stationary should be avoided for about 24 hours.
